I'm looking for someone who enjoys exploring the world, but also appreciates the slow quiet moments in life. Sometimes both in the same trip! Maybe bushwhacking through the forest to find a private lake, where we'll set up a hammock and nap. Or perhaps a long road trip listening to music and ending at an abandoned gold mine to explore.
I'd prefer if you lived somewhat nearby (I'm in St Johns, Portland, OR), but can deal with longer drives if we're getting along great!
As a final note, I refuse to date a Trump supporter, racist, anti-masker, or anti-vaxxer. Honestly, we'd even have a hard time becoming friends.
Why not use a dating app?
Dating apps take a lot of personal information and behavior for themselves. Even paid versions steal your info and use it for a number of reasons. Some apps have secret "scores" for every profiles which limit who you can see and who can see you.
Not to mention the interpersonal issues with dating apps. Non-responsive matches and, even worse, ghosting, can be dehumanizing.
So you opted for a website instead?
I do miss meeting people in the real world. I know I can't do that right now, but it feels even worse having a middle-man in the process. Why do that? "Gotta get yourself out there" as they say, so that's what I'm doing!
I will be the only person with access to the data you give me. I won't be taking any data in the background. I won't be tracking your behaviors. And once I'm done with this website, I'll be deleting all the data gained through it (except contact details for new friends of course).
I also won't ghost anyone. If you reach out to me, you'll get some response. I will be honest, but you won't be left wondering, "What happened?"
What are your covid precautions?
I am now fully vaccinated and will only be going on dates with others who are fully vaccinated!

This is a problem with any dating app or service. It's a problem with meeting any new people. I choose to believe that most people are good not bad, and hope I can tell the difference.
